We are committed to being an organization that helps elite young hockey players further their career options. Whether it is a scholarship opportunity or a chance to play professional hockey at some level, we believe the years from 14-19 can make or break a young man as far as the quality of opportunities he receives later in life.
Researchers have determined that the magic number for true expertise, in anything, is 10,000 hours of practice. Most elite performers, whether athletes, writers, musicians, or businessmen, have totalled 10,000 hours of practice by the age of 20! It is clear that people that excel don't just work harder than everyone else, they work much, much harder.
To that end, we have developed a complete off-season development program for elite hockey players at the Major Bantam and Midget levels (initially). We identify these players through a vast network of contacts within minor hockey organizations in the Ottawa Valley, Western Quebec, and Atlantic Canada.
The Montera Hockey Academy program covers May-August and encompasses intensive on-ice skill development, off-ice conditioning, team building, and life skills programs. This is a complete "end-of-season to beginning-of-season" curriculum that assists our athletes at a key stage in their hockey lives. See sample curriculum.
Not only does our program help elite hockey players prepare for their Major Junior draft year, their first Major Junior tryout, or their Prep School season, but the program is available to carefully selected players at minimal cost to their families.

Signed with one of the big-name agents and tired of being way down the agency depth chart? Do you talk to your agent's "right-hand man" more than you talk to your agent?
Player/Agent relationships are Partnerships. True partnerships require honesty, trust, commitment to a common goal, personal interaction, and time spent together.

Many of our team have played professional hockey and experienced both the great days when they could do no wrong and the bad times when they couldn't get their agent to return their calls. "He'll get back to you" is not something you will ever hear from Montera. GUARANTEED.
Our commitment to you, as a professional hockey player, is that you will always feel like you are our only client. If we cannot be sure that we can support you 24 hours a day, seven days a week, we will not represent you. Your calls will be returned promptly, regardless of your contract status, latest stats, or public popularity. First-rounder or 4th liner, you deserve the undivided attention of any and all members of our team.
Your family is important to us. We have a concierge service that is available 24 hours a day to assist in any way with family matters. Whether it be handling every detail surrounding a move to a new city or interviewing child care workers on your behalf, we are there for you. No request is too small or too large
