Elite Player Development Program
The Invitation-only Elite Player Development Program (EDP) covers May-August and encompasses intensive on-ice skill development, off-ice conditioning, team building, and life skills programs. This is a complete "end-of-season to beginning-of-season" curriculum that assists our athletes at a key stage in their hockey lives. The EDP polishes off Training Camp preparation with the Montera Hockey Academy Junior Camp in August. The EDP is only available to players who we feel have serious potential to excel at the NCAA or Major Junior levels.
Families of participants in the Elite Player Development Program choose to have Montera Sports Management act as their Family Advisors and commit to full participation in our on-ice and off-ice curriculums. These players also get in-season support and professional feedback.
Through the Elite Player Development Program and its year-long follow-up we help you build the best possible foundation for growth. Our exclusive relationship with the Peak Centre for Human Performance provides you with a customized development program that covers both on-ice and off-ice guidance. This support continues throughout your college or junior career.
Montera Hockey Academy
In addition to the Elite Player Development Program’s Junior Camp, the Montera Hockey Academy offers 1 week programs for 1997-1998 birth years. These camps are for players not in our EDP, but are based on the same basic fundamentals as the Elite Development Program. The curriculum is customized to be age- and skill-appropriate.

Education Counselling
Deciding what to do with your future is always tough at a young age, but it is especially tough for an elite athlete. College is an important opportunity that should not be overlooked. It is not the right step for everyone, but it is increasingly the choice for elite players who also have good academic history. We help you fully explore all the options available to you and support you in whatever choice you make.
